Janet Otieno was born in Kisumu, Kenya, the second oldest of six siblings. She was raised in a Christian home which became the foundation of her musical journey. Her religious upbringing made her realize the passion she had to serve God through music. She would often retreat to the solitude of her home and there she would write her own songs. With her religious upbringing and knowledge of the word of God, Janet was able to write down powerful songs that speak to people’s hearts. She discovered that God had not only blessed her with a voice but also with the skills to write songs.

Annita Peace is a born again Kenyan, a ministry musician, film producer, media studies lecturer currently pursuing her masters degree and an instrumentalist. Her music career began in 2014 when she ventured into music production, though she had been singing all her life since a young age. Her first single, “Hilo Jina” was an African song that talks about the name of Jesus, declaring that it lives for ever and ever. Her newest release in August 2017 are the songs Twakuinua, a praise song lifting up the name of Jesus and Wanipenda, a song acknowledging the Love of God.

Weezdom is a 24 year old gospel artist who was born and raised in Mathare slums. Having faced a lot of challenges while growing up, he found himself in crime and peddling drugs. After his drug addiction got worse he ended up in a rehabilitation center for 10 months and it was on his road to recovery where he found light. In 2015 Weezdom released his first song, which paved way for other good pieces such as 'Umenitoa far', released in April 2016. In early 2017 Weezdom released his first collaboration with well known gospel artist Guardian Angel, named "Better man". He won Groove's New Artist of the Year 2017 Award and just released the song 'Amka Ucheze' with Janet Otieno, which we'll see on the show this Sunday as well.
