Starting this June, Maisha Magic East presents to you a series of new, original and entertaining Kenyan movies in the form of Maisha Magic Original Films.

These are East Africa’s authentic stories told from a pot of creativity through the eyes of the local people.

This will in turn ensure that Maisha Magic East viewer gets the best array of films made in this thriving region.

Here’s a sneak peek list of the exciting blockbusters that will be running in June:

Tuesday 2ND June at 4pm: VEVE



Amos, an ambitious politician, is running for another term whilst facing his opponent Wadu in the extension of his veve empire. His wife Esther discovers the true nature of his affairs and seeks solace in Kenzo, a conflicted young man out to seek vengeance for his father’s death.

 

FRIDAY 5TH June at 8pm: DIE HUSBAND DIE



A young woman’s request for a divorce to end her ten-year-old loveless marriage is met with scorn from her more matured and influential husband who uses his wealth and affluence to curb her freedom. Desperation sets in as her desire to be free to marry the man she loves, makes her an easy target for opportunists.

SATURDAY 6TH JUNE at 8pm: PLAYBOY


Rikki is every girl’s dream; young, rich and handsome. He is the ultimate bachelor and has different girls on his arms every week. He refuses to settle down and he will never commit to anything. He is content in living his life this way until one unsuspecting day, a young girl comes into his life that changes everything.

FRIDAY 19TH JUNE at 9pm: URIAH



Oscar is witty and will do anything to get the woman of his dreams, Uriah. He plans a series of pranks to get her attention but his ex-girlfriend will not make things easy as she is still in love with Oscar.

 

FRIDAY 26TH JUNE at 8pm: THE TENANT



The tenant is a story about Jalopo who moves to a new building in the city. He is very conservative and this makes the neighbor be wary of him. As Jalopo tries to fit in this new community he remains unfaltering in his beliefs and values and he addresses the issue of immorality in the building. After a while the neighbors want his thrown out and they successfully do. After his departure everyone starts to see how Jalopo had contributed in their lives and they decide to get him back.
